Conference dinner

On Wednesday (February 17) evening, we will have a conference dinner at the Dampfbierbrauerei in Essen. The fee for the dinner is 40 EUR (for post-docs, professors, etc.); for students there is a reduced rate of 15 EUR. This fee includes the buffet and two drinks. If you want to join, and have not yet registered, then please do so immediately.

Guided tour to Zeche Zollverein

On Saturday (February 20) afternoon, we will have a guided tour to Zeche Zollverein, a former coal mine industrial complex. It is on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 2001. (The winding tower of shaft 12 with inscription "Zollverein" has become a well-known symbol of Essen and is also depicted on the conference poster.)

The tour will take about two hours. It is free of charge for conference participants, but please register before the conference.
